北极星沙龙44th：Introduction to rapid manufacturing

快速制造(Rapid Manufacturing)技术，诞生于20世纪80年代后期，是基于材料堆积法的一种高新制造技术，被认为是近20年来制造领域的一个重大成果。
With the accelerated pace of new products entering the global market along with the shortened life cycles of those same products, rapid manufacturing has become crucial to the success of everything from automobiles to toothbrushes. Rapid manufacturing technologies allow engineers to shorten the design and production cycle, and ultimately bring more competitive products to market sooner.
Now we are happy to invite Mr.Jingming Huo Phd give us a report of rapid manufacturing. He will introduce the field of rapid manufacturing, maily focus on various Additive Fabrication and Geometric Reverse Engineering processes.
